Press Release: Elias Out Now on iTunes through Musicadium

Press Release: Elias- Debut- Out Now on iTunes through Musicadium

Spanish Guitar infused acoustic tracks about subjects a little out of the ordinary. Coffee, going slow…busking.

Elias has been cutting his teeth the last few years playing spanish guitar and doing a lot of busking at various markets in Brisbane. He has established a strong fan base from Southbank Markets especially.

Busking has taught him so many things. People skills, performing at your very very best every single time. A work ethic.

Elias’s mediterranean background is the inspiration for a lot of his songs. ‘ I listen to a lot of old Greek music and Flamenco, and the thing that i love the most about these songs is that the singer can say things that you just cant say in English. What I try to do is convey similar concepts and ways of seeing the world but in my first language, English.’ Transgressing cultures is something Elias has been doing all his life. ” I am of Greek ancestry, and when i was younger i tried to deny it to fit in, but it didnt work. You have to embrace where your D.N.A. is from and also embrace who you have become. I love the Mediterranean attitude to life, things get done without really trying to hard. It is like work is simply a past time. But I also love the Australian way of life. So i guess its fusion. Maybe con-fusion.

Coffee is high on Elias’s favourite things. ‘ Coffee is more than a caffeine hit. It is a ritual, it is a meditation. I mean when I drink it I dont start humming and chanting, it just brings me into the moment and I can be one with the day.

Soy Latte is about this. It is about how a simple little cardboard cup can lift your spirit in a single sip.’

This Monday night Elias will be interviewed by DJ JEFF in Osaka Japan for Cocolo FM 76.5 FM and featured for a month on the show. ‘

Japan is a sensation to live, i would love to go there and showcase my music. I am looking forward to my interview with DJ JEFF over the phone. Hopefully next time I might be able to be there in person. ‘

Elias was featured on a televison show from the U.S. called Project My World. The semi- reality TV show uses myspace as a meeting point to meet artists and then travels to far away lands to meet and hang out with them.

Elias filmed the show in July this year in Sydney at Rushcutters Bay.

The episode has recently aired in the U.S. to a great response. It seems the fans in the U.S. are also fans of the Soy Latte.

Elias has been playing guitar for 18 years and writing songs for 13.

He has played with various latin and Greek bands and also spanish guitar ensembles. The Debut album was recorded at Alchemix Studios under the watchful eye of Matt Whitehouse and Mixed by Tim Baker.

It was recorded under live circumstances to keep an organic intimate feel throughout.

” It wasn’t easy to record this way, but it is the only way I would want to do it. This is my style and this is how i do it. ‘
