CC is an enigma. She has a certain gutsiness that melds well with the smooth grooves in this song, making it contradictory yet interesting. I love the reggae and jazz-inspired aspects of this song - it is rhythmically very smooth and mellow yet when mixed with the vocals becomes a completely interesting and captivating mix.

Pretty catchy song. I like the rythmic feel created. Not a huge fan of the scatting part though. Overall a solid, enjoyable song.

CC has a great voice and good musicians on this track - cool brass arrangements - nice feel - happy - considering the lyrics are melancholy in subject - good contemplative message Zia

Well, not a fan of the genre, and not a fan of the style of music. But damn, CC The Cat has some skills. I had the pleasure of meeting her at BigSound Conference recently and she was a really smart cookie. Then I had a good listen to the song and you can really hear her personality in it. I have a lot of respect for artists who do that. We’ve been impressed by CC since her disc landed on our desks a month back. Can’t wait to see what she does next.
