Australia’s Dedicated Digital Distributor Musicadium Officially Launches

Musicadium – Australia’s Dedicated Digital Distributor – is set to launch at The Zoo on Wednesday, February 13 with a fantastic showcase of local acts.

The launch will feature Ranger (comprised of singer-songwriter Cameron Mckenzie, Adele from The Go-Betweens and Martin Lee of Regurgitator fame), recent Triple J favourites The Westminsters and Byron Bay based The Frankie band.

With the digital music revolution well and truly upon us, bands like Ranger are making the most of the opportunities that abound.

With the Musicadium distribution model, Ranger have guaranteed worldwide distribution of their upcoming EP, and all for less than the cost of a carton of beer.

In stark contrast to traditional distribution deals, Musicadium’s digital distribution agreement allows artists to retain 100% of royalties.

Partnering with online stores like iTunes, eMusic and Amazon mp3 allows Musicadium artists to reach out to the world with virtually no barriers to entry.

Gone are the days of bands pressing hundreds of CDs at great cost and hoping they reach the intended target. No longer will bands languish, waiting to be discovered and picked up by a major music label.

With new-era music business models like Musicadium, the power is shifting into the artists’ hands.

It all makes for an exciting time to be entering the Australian music market.

The launch is set to kick off at 8pm. Entry is $5 on the door. The Zoo is located at 711 Ann St in Fortitude Valley.
